Re reference above of cooking and eating these. According to R Farrow, Insects of South Eastern Australia 2024p66 species of the Pentatomidae contain distasteful to toxic chemicals “..including alkaloids, cyanides, peptides, phenolic and pyrazines..”. I agree that the aroma of Stink Bugs is giving us a message.
