Agree Claire. It really shows how adaptable Squirrel Gliders are that they can persist in highly urbanised environments with not only habitat fragmentation, but pressures associated with light, noise and domestic pets. Hopefully we see more and more value being placed on retention of vegetation in the expanding peri-urban area.

Another great record highlighting the value of even the smallest patches of remnant trees in highly urbanised settings. Great to see recurring sightings in this narrow strip between the busy road and housing. The 2020 record with a truck in the background is great too Petaurus norfolcensis (Squirrel Glider)
