Fantastic photos, thanks for posting the sighting. Above, below and side shots really helps with insect and spider identification. The Rusty Long-nosed Planthopper is in the same sub-order as the cicada and like the cicada it is a sap sucker. The Rusty Long-nosed Planthopper is widespread across Australia from Cape York to South-West Western Australia, but this is the first record (within State and National databases) of this native species in the Albury-Wodonga area.
