User's notes

Gold dust lichen - I only know of the species I've suggested but realise there are others in the genus. On red stringybark, low to the ground. None observed on other nearby trees.

Hi Karen
I don't feel confident of confirming this as Chrysothrix candelaris. My reference shows that it doesn't occur in Australia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysothrix_candelaris
How about Chrysothrix sp. (genus)?

Thanks Michael (for looking at this and my other uploads!). I'm more than happy to stick to the genus.
I doubt my images have sufficient detail to make a call to species anyway.

ALA records support that particular species being in Australia:
https://bie.ala.org.au/species/NZOR-6-77455
As does ABRS:
