Hi Paul, how big was this guy roughly? There's a lot of Black-faced Cuckoo-shrikes around at the moment. Both species look similar however the Cuckoo-shrike is larger at about 30cm while the Masked woodswallows are about 19cm

Hi Chris, As you can see from the fencing in the photo it was quite a large bird, so I think you are correct. I will update to Black-faced Cuckoo-shrikes.
