Never seen a Red Browed Finch prepare a nest before. This bird (or pair of birds) went off out of the reserve to the paddock, came back with a switch of grass, chucked it into the top of this conifer and then flew off to get another one. I watched ten pieces of grass go in this way. But it was tricky for photos - the birds were very quick!
