User's notes

This bird flew fast and low along the creek and then disappeared. It had something orange in its mouth. I thought it was a raven - clearly not by the pic. Koel? Bowerbird?

Another tricky one Kylie. I'm pretty sure its not a Koel because they have longer tail feathers. I also looked into what a bowerbird looks like in flight because the field guides don't say much about the markings under their wings, but I'm still not 100% sure.

I agree. Its tough. It was going so fast I didn't get a better shot. Maybe its a raptor like a very young Swamp Harrier - the wings look better for that. Mystery.
