User's notes

I was treated to a rare airshow of Dollarbirds. Three immature birds together in a tree kept flocking out, spiraling around and then returned to the tree. Two adult birds appeared to be going between them and the river, catching cicadas. And all the calling and gaggling noises they make was continuous.

Thanks Chris. These are my best photos ever of this species. Normally I just get a dark shadow with a red beak.

Thanks Matthew. I had lots of opportunity. Just very large overhead powerlines between me and the birds so some shots are actually between the lines!
