User's notes

HIstorical. This is the one and only time in over 20 years of bird watching that I have seen a mating display in Australian Pelicans. They flew in some metres apart (I was behind thick reeds), then headed towards each other mimicking head and wing movements. Once face to face, then pointed their beaks one way then the next with their wings up, until a third bird came in and they hunted it out.
