Significant sighting

Spanish Lavender has the potential to be a widespread weed within native woodland - it is relatively cheap and easy to control infestations while they are small so reports of any such infestations are significant

Thanks Darcy. Spanish Lavender became a common plant on Mt Stromolo in Canberra (the hill with all the Mountain bike tracks). I removed many thousands of plants so while there are only about a dozen plants it is definitely worth removing and bagging. Smaller plants you should be able to pull out by hand, larger plants you can mattock. I have had very high kill rates with this manual removal. Still have many more to do.
