It was lovely to get out of the car and see these three young Darters together, with another larger bird with them (mum? or just another immature).

I felt pretty special. I have seen more together before - at Wonga once there was a dead tree with about 10 darter in it, and I got more than 20 once in the big pond on the Yiddyamarra walk just down from Horseshoe Lagoon. But I understand in other areas you're lucky to see just the one!
