Kylie with fungi it helps in ID if the underside can be seen. If you carry a little mirror with you you can place under the fungi and photograph the reflection.

wow ok. I'll have to change lens then. Currently I'm taking these with the 400mm bird lens. If I step back with that I won't be able to see the mirror!
