User's notes

Reduced to birding out the window (after I cleaned it) I got this Yellow Rosella. I think its in the top of a privet which has some berries left on it. It is popular with a lot of the birds!

Yes a privet - Parrots are actually a great help to weed control as their bills destroy the seed on which they are eating. (As part of my Honours I put firethorn and cotoneaster branches in cages with Rosellas recovery from being hit by cars. They ate many thousands of seeds of which none passed through their system) They do however occasionally carry fruits off for eating the fruit or seeds elsewhere so pretty good controllers but not perfect
