This shrub is paler colour than the golden yellow one on this ridge. It is also a little more upright and spindly whereas the golden yellow one is short and compact. The weird thing was this species had no insects; the other had bees and flies all over them.
Interesting that it had no insects. I always enjoy seeing Early wattle, it's cool with it's white flowers. It may not have had any insects, cause as the name suggests, it's one of the earliest flowering wattles in the region, so it may be past it's peak flowering/attractiveness. It may also not attract as many insects because it's not got yellow flowers, generally yellow-coloured flowers are preferred by a lot of native pollinators such as flies and native bees
Thank you Darcy. Yes not sure why on the insects. I was a bit disappointed because I went down into the gully to look at the taller one and nothing on it!
