At the time I thought this was a spider. It was scurrying in an irregular way until it got to the grass and then it climbed into it and stayed put. But its clearly a tiny beetle with fluff around its base, sand all over it, and a slightly marked colour patch on its wings. If it wasn't for the sand contrast I don't think I would have seen it. It was too small!
