User's notes

I'm not sure if this is a wattle or a gum tree. But what took my eye was the weird looking new growth, or is that some kind of other plant living on it?

Mistletoe?

Doesn't look like any mistletoe found in the area. Looks like Acacia implexa, and with some zooming it seems like the large flat leaves are sprouting from the same branches as the odd thin leaves, perhaps it's just an A.implexa with a disease or something affecting the new leaf growth? Hard to know with only one pic from a fair distance

Does look like Acacia leaves, I feel like I've seen similar things before, probably some sort of abnormal deformity or growth (many possible causes, would be hard to confirm the cause).
