at first i thought these afternoon bees were blue banded but when I looked at the photos I can see they are clearly something else. At one stage there were two bees in the same flower. They only landed for a few moments then took a turn along the creek bank before returning and repeating.

TY PeterA. lol. I think I've come a long way. When I first started looking at insects in sep 2020 I didn't even know native bees existed!
