I've seen some weird things in the wild, but this one takes the biscuit. This male fairywren was in the shrubbery with others. Then he swooped down to the ground in a buttercup patch. He came out with this bright yellow buttercup petal and took off with it. To impress the ladies or line the nest? Never seen this behaviour before. A bit bowerbird like!
