User's notes

Last time I saw this species in March, they were competing for my attention with female Common Brown Butterflies. Much harder to pick them out against male Common Brown Butterflies, though they do appear to be slightly smaller, and a brighter orange in flight (and once landed on the outer clearly different). I was so excited when one landed on my hat and sat there for some time. I took a photo of the shadow. It seemed to be taken with my top (black with red flowers on it)

Yes that orange definitely stands out doesn't it? Great that you have a good top for attracting butterflies!
