Note sure about the status of this and Phyla nodiflora (both are listed on CNM, I'm not sure the treatment of current sightings is right)

No, there are two species in Australia: nodiflora is more northern and costal with some records from along the mid-Murray.
P. canescens is inland areas, including in NSW and VIC.
This record is from a floodplain in the Murray valley but is well upstream of where P. nodiflora has been recorded.
