User's notes

most of the plants were short and one twig up to the flower. One plant was woodier and slightly taller than 30cm.

It's an Oenothera, looks a bit weird for O. stricta though, I'm not super sure

hi natureguy. This one shows up as a 'weed of melbourne' and the leaf looks right : https://weedsofmelbourne.org/cut-leaved-evening-primrose-oenothera-laciniata ? Its growing at the base of a very dry bank with conifers and Silver wattles in it and the plants looked pretty scungy. the larger one possibly seeded the smaller ones which were only 1m away from it.

Yeah I was considering O. lacinata but not sure how widespread it is
