We came across three ball-like clusters on gum leaves, later we came across those clusters of caterpillar-like insects on gum leaves and thought they might be related.
The last two images are of sawfly larvae and unrelated to the galls in the first two images which may have been caused by a midge (or other fly) wasp, scale insect or other gall forming species
