I wouldn't have seen this weevil if it had been for the spider wasp visiting close to it. It was at least half the size of the wasp. Odd colour for a weevil but I think that's what it is. Guess at species from ACT field guide.

Definitely a weevil, but not Lexithia, which has a longer and thinner rostrum. Hard to guess what it is without seeing more of it.
