This fly (top centre) is very small. It looks like it has white wings and abodmen which would explain why it looked so weird when it flew.

This fly genus is very susceptible to puppeteer fungus and this fungus infection may explain its whitish abdomen and weird look

Excellent. because it was flying weird - it looked like a tiny flying goldfish with a fan tail!
