Lissopimpla excelsa (Orchid dupe wasp, Dusky-winged Ichneumonid)

Family Ichneumonidae. Males of this wasp are attracted to, and attempt to mate with terrestrial orchids of the genus Cryptostylis, which mimic female wasps of the species in both odour (pheromone) and appearance. The wasps pick up pollen in the act, subsequently pollinating other orchids that they visit.
