Thermeola tasmanica (Tasmanian Footman)

The adult moths of this species have brown forewings. The males have a vague dark band across the middle, which is thought to emit pheromones. The hindwings are plain pale yellowish brown. The wingspan is about 3 cms. 

Although this species is larger, it looks superficially like Ctenosia infuscata.

The species is found in Australia in New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania.
