Status: Native  

Size: Grows to maximum 4.5cm.  

Description: A slender pale grey to tan gudgeon, with a semi-translucent silvery body. Dark narrow bars on rear and fins; indistinct dark spot near tail.  

Habitat: Freshwater rivers and stream in slow-flowing, sometimes turbid, heavily-weeded areas to 3 m deep.  

Location: Larger water bodies and rivers in the Murrumbidgee Catchment.
